My kind of 2013 = A mixture of Sugar, Spice, and everything Nice.

My kind of 2013 = A mixture of Sugar, Spice, and everything Nice.

In less than an hour (GMT+8), we'll enter a new year full of expectations, goals, and reflections. 2013 has both been good, not-so-good, and life-changing for me. This was also probably the year where I updated my blog lesser than all the other years, because I was actually LIVING in it. Life has been busier and I had less time/energy to blog even if I wanted to. After all the progress I made with my photoblog, I suddenly fell into MIA status. Which may left some of you, my dear viewers (if there are any) thinking, "What's up? No more updates?" Well, let me recap this once and for all, with the main events that are worth sharing. Click "read more" below! (Loooong post ahead!) =)

BTW, I'm hoping to be back for good! Even if it means once/twice-a-week post!

I don't really celebrate the New Year's, but let's all say Hello 2014 in a few minutes!

Dancing with the waves of Alona beach, Bohol

Last year, I was able to visit Alona beach for the first time with mom and a few of my relatives. It's quite a buzzy place now and it also serves as a huge tourist spot among Bohol's beaches. Here are a few photographs I took using my film camera, Exon, using Fujicolor 100.

Katie, 2011

I'll be posting overdue photoposts every now and then. By "Overdue" I meant - photos taken from 2011. Most of the random ones are on my photoblog here.

Meet Katie, my 5-yr old niece from Bohol. This set was taken when I visited her and some of my relatives in Bohol last June 2011.

[Backlog] Macau March 2011 p.2

Our last 2 days from the trip were spent on walking around the streets of Macau. Also, I had the chance to visit their version of The Venetian.

"Friendship Avenue" - I think that's what it meant :P

Nikon!
Grand Lisboa
Macau's economy depends largely on casinos, hence, the casino photos around the place. I noticed that some hotels also offer casinos. There're black cars with men in suit every now and then.

more photos after the cut! :)

[Backlog] Macau & HK March 2011 p.1

Although this post is long overdue, I would still like to share the land of Macau and Hong kong last March 2011. During this trip, Macau's a first, and HK's a second. The last time I visited HK was way back 2005, during the year opening of HK Disneyland.

We took the last night flight, and arrived in Macau early morning.

I tell you, if you arrive in Macau at nighttime, when the lights and all the thingamagigs going on, you'll be like riding a roller coaster ride. The roads are designed to be interlocking each other to maximize the space since Macau is a small country. I couldn't take off my eyes at the colorful lights displayed by every building that seemed like a part of the said roller coaster, not to mention the cab we were in was driving too fast, but probably too "normal" for them.

Immediately after arriving, mom sought for a money changer. We then took a cab to our hotel.

Actually, this trip was close to cancellation because it interfered with my battery exam as well as my mom's
proctor exam last March. But anyway, the trip was rearranged and even though some days were deducted from the original itinerary, it was still worth it :)

The next day, we went to the ferry to get a transfer from Macau to Hong Kong.
